The destination: the picturesque Biersdorf am See in Germany, surrounding the serene Stausee Bitburg.
The 8-kilometer trail offered breathtaking views of the lake and surrounding landscape. As they walked, teachers enjoyed the early summer scenery while exchanging teaching insights and strengthening bonds within the team.
After the hike, the group gathered at a lakeside restaurant to savor local German cuisine, experiencing a taste of the regional culture. The fun continued with interactive games that brought energy and laughter to the group, fostering deeper connections and showcasing the vibrant, collaborative spirit of the teaching team.
This memorable outing not only provided a welcome break from the daily routine but also enhanced the sense of unity and belonging among colleagues. The Center remains committed to the philosophy of “working healthily, living happily” and will continue to enrich its cultural and wellness programs to create a warm, dynamic, and supportive environment for both teachers and students.

Tea ordering from the Song Dynasty is one of the traditional methods of making tea in China, and is an important part of Chinese tea culture. The tea ordering procedure is unique and elaborate. The students also used the tea powder to write and draw pandas, mountain peaks, flowers and plants on the tea surface … This marvellous experience was a fun reminder of the leisure and elegance of the literati of the Song Dynasty.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a kind of traditional medicine which originated in China and has a long history of more than two thousand years. In addition, it has a far-reaching impact on the other Asian countries that use Chinese characters. It is based on theory and practical experience, and studies the laws of health and disease transformation in human life activities as well as disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and health care. It is the most widely used, and one of the most popular and important types of traditional medicine nowadays.

CLCCL was fortunate to have Dr Zhang Min, who teaches Masters students in Traditional Chinese Medicine at the University of Malta, come to Luxembourg to give a series of lectures. Dr Zhang introduced Chinese medicine in an easy-to-understand language and explained the main differences between Chinese and Western medicine. She further shared some tips with the audience to use in their daily life. For example: acupressure to relieve anxiety, rose jasmine tea to calm the mind and alleviate depression, herbal chicken soup to improve immunity, etc. Audience members were reluctant to leave after the presentation and queued up to have an individual chat with Dr Zhang.

This lecture series unveiled the mystery of Chinese medicine and we hope that we will have another opportunity to collaborate with the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine so that more people can understand and get to know traditional Chinese medicine.

Mrs Na SHI-BIC introduced in an easy understandable way Luxembourg’s elective system, the setting of electoral districts, voting, etc., interspersed with little jokes that kept the interest of the audience high. Representatives from different political parties were invited as well to have a face-to-face exchange with the Chinese participants.
